Free Illness and Injury Prevention Program (IIPP) Manual and free consultation service for California. California employers have a legal requirement to provide and maintain a safe workplace environment for all their employees.
This requirement was established in 1973 under the California Occupational Safety and Health Act. Effective 1991, California employers are required to have a written Illness Prevention (IIPP) Program in place.
This written Injury and Illness Prevention manual should describe the business owner’s responsibility in setting up, completing, and maintaining such a program and steps that can be taken to assure safety while employees are on-the-job.
There are many companies selling IIPP manuals. There is no need to pay for these manuals.
